After graduating in Health Biology and PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology at the University of Bologna is currently a type A fixed-term researcher at the same university. His research activity focuses on identifying the molecular mechanisms underlying the disorders of neurodevelopment (NDD), with a focus on Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), using integrated approaches exome sequencing (WES) and genome sequencing (WGS) in cohorts of individuals with ASD and functional characterization of the most relevant genetic variants. In particular, its activity includes the analysis of genomic data (SNP-array, WES, WGS) and the use of techniques advanced molecular and cellular biology. He is a professor of Biostatistics in the master's degree course in Health Biology at the University of Bologna and carries out
supervision activities of students and doctoral students.
