Research fellow
Università degli Studi di GenovaBeatrice Federica Tremonti is a research fellow at the Department of Internal Medicine (Di.MI) of the University of Genoa. Its activity focuses on the study of glioblastoma, with particular attention to cancer stem cells and the development of three-dimensional models (organoids and tumoroids
patient-derived) as innovative tools to investigate tumor progression and resistance to therapies. Previously, he collaborated on research projects at the University of Genoa and the IRCCS Policlinico San Martino, contributing to the development of patient-derived models.
He obtained his Master's Degree in Cellular and Molecular Biotechnology, Neurobiology curriculum, at the University of Trento (2021), and the qualification to the profession of Biologist at the University of Bari (2023).
His training has been enriched by international experiences (Erasmus+ at Ludwig-MaximiliansUniversität München), interdisciplinary experiences (School of Innovation, University of Trento) and the advanced course on organoids and neural reprogramming offered by the Neuroscience School of Advanced Studies.
His expertise includes 2D and 3D cell cultures, isolation and characterization of primary cultures from tumor tissues, viability and proliferation assays, live-cell imaging, molecular biology techniques (qPCR, Western blot, immunofluorescence) and advanced microscopy. Such skills are applied to the creation of preclinical platforms useful for evaluating new therapeutic targets and treatment strategies for the glioblastoma.
