After my graduation at the School of Medicine at the University of Cagliari I started the School of Specialty in Clinical Pharmacology at the University of Cagliari, ITALY, directed by Prof. GL Gessa. During and after the specialty program I performed clinical and research activities at the Center of Clinical Psychopharmacology , Department of Neurosciences “B.B. Brodie”, University of Cagliari, ITALY, supervised by Prof. M Del Zompo I performed research experience in north America as guest researcher at the Clinical Neurogenetic Branch of National Institute of Mental Health, Bethesda (MD), USA, directed by Prof. ES Gershon and as post-doctoral fellow at the Department of Psychiatry of Behavioral Sciences School of Medicine, John Hopkins University of Baltimore (MD), USA, directed by Prof. J.R. De Paulo jr. (supervised by FJ McMahon). Actually, full time researcher at the Department of Biomedical Science, University of Cagliari ITALY Section Of Clinical Pharmacology. Scientific collaborations: From 2006 to date with Prof. M Alda at the Department of Psychiatry, Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canad; Consortium on Lithium Genetics (ConLiGen): international initiative led by National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) and International Group for The Study of Lithium Treated Patients (IGSLi) to study the genetic basis of response to lithium treatment. Affiliate to Pharmacogenomics Research Network supervised by Prof. Dr. med. Thomas G.
