Research fellow

I am Rosa Salvatorelli, a biologist with a solid academic education and a strong motivation to grow professionally in the field of biomedical and clinical research. After the three-year degree in Biological Sciences and the master's degree in Biosanitary Sciences, both obtained with top marks and honors at the University of Bari, I continued my journey with the qualification to practice as a biologist.
During my internship at the New Complex of Biomedical Sciences of the Bari Polyclinic I gained experience in cell cultures, biochemical and molecular techniques (electrophoresis, Western Blot, protein dosages, enzymatic activities), actively participating in research projects and moments of multidisciplinary collaboration. I am currently a research fellow at the Laboratory of Molecular Psychiatry and Genetics (DiBrain Department, Bari), where I deal with cell cultures, isolation and differentiation of stem cells, reprogramming in iPSCs, as well as DNA and RNA extractions and isolation of PBMC from blood samples.
At the same time, I acquired transversal skills in communication, organization and teamwork, also developed through extra-university experiences. I consider myself a responsible, proactive and empathetic person, capable of collaborating in complex contexts and motivated to undertake a professional path that enhances my scientific and personal skills.
