Employment and work experience: in 1990 civil service (12 months) as a researcher at IRCCS Istituto Ricerche Farmacologica Mario Negri; from 1991 to 1996 scholarship as a junior researcher at IRCCS Fondazione Don Carlo Gnocchi; in 1994, 3-month residency at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, Boston, MA, USA; from 1996 to today employed permanently as a senior researcher at IRCCS Fondazione Don Carlo Gnocchi

Interests - methodologies of instrumental analysis of movement and application to the evaluation of physiological movement
and pathological; quantitative methods for the evaluation and rehabilitation of neuropsychological disorders, methods of
monitoring physical activity using wearable sensors

As of today (August 2025) my h-index is 35 (source: Scopus).

From 1996 to today I have published 120 articles (source Scopus) in indexed journals, including Brain, Current Biology, IEEE Transactions, PLOS ONE, Cortex, Journal of Biomechanics, Experimental Brain Research, Gait and Posture, Neuropsychology, Human Movement Science, Medical and Biological Engineering and Computing, Physiological Measurements

I am one of the founding members of the Italian Society for Clinical Movement Analysis (SIAMOC), of whose Board of Directors he was part of in the four-year period 2006-2009.

Since the mid-1990s I have been scientific director of workpackages in the context of Finalized Research MinSan, ISPESL, EU, Italian Space Agency.

I carried out teaching activities for the Polytechnic of Milan and for SUPSI, the Professional University School of Italian Switzerland, from 2004 to 2019 I was a contract professor for the University of Milan.
