Associate Professor

I'm an Associate Professor of Pharmacology at the Department of Biomedical Sciences of the University of Cagliari. I obtained a degree in Medicine and Surgery in 2011, a specialty in Pharmacology in 2017 and a PhD in Neuroscience in 2023. My research is focused on the investigation of molecular determinants of psychiatric disorders and response to pharmacological treatment through the integration of accurate clinical phenotyping with multiomic molecular data. My research interests also include computational genomics and investigation of gender differences in the clinical efficacy and safety of psychotropic medication. I have been P.I. (PRIN 2022) or unit coordinator (Ricerca Finalizzata GR 2019) of national grants and co-investigator in international grants (HORIZON-HLTH-2021). I received the award SIFFarmindustria for research in the pharmacological field (2021) and the award for researchers involved in projects on sex/gender differences from “Centro Studi Nazionale su Salute e Medicina di Genere" (2021). I am a member of international consortia such as the International Consortium of Lithium Genetics (ConLiGen) and the Pharmacogenomics and Transcriptomics Network of the European College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ECNP).
