Prof. Serafina Perrone, Serafina Perrone is Director of the Complex Operational Unit of Neonatology at the University Hospital of Parma and Associate Professor of Pediatrics. After graduating with honors in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Siena, he obtained a specialization in Neonatology and Neonatal Intensive Care and subsequently a PhD in growth factors. E’ author of over 500 scientific publications, with a HI of 40, and has long experience on markers of oxidative stress in the early identification of newborns at high risk of brain damage and in the evaluation of new neuroprotective clinical strategies and therapies. E’ coordinator of innovative research projects, funded by the Ministry of Health and the European Community.
