Tenure Track Researcher – Medical Director

Degree in medicine and surgery obtained in 2015 with 110 /110 cum laude. Specialist in psychiatry since January 2022 with a score of 50/50. In his career he has gained work experience in various contexts, first serving as a continuity of care doctor and then as a psychiatry consultant at a high intensity rehabilitation facility (Hippocrates Centre). Since 2022 Doctoral student in Neuroscience at the University of Cagliari. He has been working as a tenure track researcher at the SC of Psychiatry of the University Hospital of Cagliari since June 2024. The research activity integrates clinical and neurobiological approaches in the study of serious mental health disorders such as schizophrenia, major depression and bipolar disorder. He was a subinvestigator and rater for the phase 2/3 Evenamide clinical trial (NW-3509/008A/II/2020, NW-3509-020-III-2021) and sub-investigator for the Psych-STRATA Work Package 3 (WP3) project. He has presented works at international conferences (eg, European Psychiatric Association, European College of Neuropsychopharmacology) focused on research projects focused on biomarkers candidates for life-time anti-conservative ideation and for precision medicine in major depression.
