Associate Professor, Scientific disciplinary sector: MEDS-11/A Psychiatry

Having graduated in Medicine and Surgery with honors in 1999 from the School of Medicine of the University of Bologna, he obtained the Diploma of Specialist in Psychiatry with honors from the same University in 2003. In 2004 he took up service as a researcher in the MED/25 Psychiatry disciplinary sector at the University of Bologna. Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Bologna since 2015. In 2017 he obtained the National Scientific Qualification as Full Professor.
He obtained the Master's degree in Evidence-Based Medicine and Methodology of Health Research at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in 2003 and the specialization course in systematic reviews and meta-analyses at the Società Ialiana DBT and Behavioral Tech - Linehan Institute in 2018.
He carries out his research mainly in the field of clinical psychiatry (psychotic disorders, mood disorders, personality disorders) and counseling - liaison psychiatry (general medicine, geriatrics, neurology).He is the author or co-author of over 150 scientific publications and 10 book chapters/monographs. He has acted as contact person for numerous international journals. he is a member of the College of the Doctoral Course in Health, Safety and Green Systems of the University of Bologna.
