Full Professor
Università degli Studi di Napoli - Federico IIProfessor Marasco is a full professor of General and Inorganic Chemistry at the Department of Pharmacy of the University of Naples Federico II. Prof. Marasco's scientific work is focused on the identification and synthesis of new potential drugs: understanding the structure-function relationship of biological macromolecules in the field of protein-protein interaction and identifying compounds, often inorganic in nature, capable of modulating these interactions. It has a background in peptide and protein chemistry, in their functionalization and chemical modification, associated with thermodynamic and kinetic characterizations, through in vitro binding assays: SPR, ITC, fluorescence (FRET; FP) and MST and structural investigations by CD and NMR spectroscopies. Research cheque reviewer for International Research Councils/Agencies: Czech Republic, Poland, France, Austria, India, ERC. Bibliometric parameters: Hindex from Scopus: 39, Number of publications: 187, Number of citations: 4629, 4 international patents
