Giulia Lomele is a biomedical engineer graduated with honors in Biomedical Engineering from the Polytechnic of Milan, where she obtained both a bachelor's degree (2020) and a master's degree in Biomedical Engineering – Technologies for Electronics (2023). His graduate theses have been concerned with the development of an innovative oxygen concentrator and the validation of the Teslasuit in virtual reality environments for neuromotor rehabilitation, respectively, confirming an ongoing interest in the application of advanced technologies to health and rehabilitation. On a professional level, Giulia did an internship at EPFL in Lausanne, where she used machine learning techniques applied to heart rate variability to predict heart problems with an accuracy of’85%, and worked as a software developer at R4P, developing computer vision solutions for industrial robotics. He currently works as a research engineer at the Don Carlo Gnocchi Foundation – IRCSS Santa Maria Nascente, in the Laboratory of Movement Analysis and Rehabilitation Bioengineering, where he deals with the development of algorithms for the analysis of biomedical signals and full-stack software design for integrated data acquisition, thus consolidating a profile that combines scientific skills, engineering skills and application vision.
