Ornella Franzese has been Principal Investigator in projects funded by the ISS (AIDS Projects IV-V-VI), the Ministry of Health, ANVUR and the University of Rome Tor Vergata (Beyond Borders, Frailcures). He has also participated in PRIN and AIRC projects on immunotherapy, immunosenescence and translational oncology. It collaborates with national institutions (ISS, CNR, IRBM, Policlinico Gemelli, IFO-Regina Elena) and international institutions, in particular with University College London for immunopharmacological studies with particular interest in T lymphocytes.
Since 2001, he has been teaching Pharmacology continuously at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, in the degree courses of Medicine (in English), Dentistry, Health Professions and Motor Sciences, and in the Doctoral School in Advanced Therapies.
