Dr Ilaria Ferro holds a master's degree in Medical Biotechnology and Molecular Medicine from
the University of Bari “Aldo Moro” with a score of 109/110.
He consolidated his skills in clinical research through the advanced training course “CRA Mission”.
at ClinOpsHub and Yghea CRO, with focus on ICH-GCP, pharmacovigilance, GMP, EU regulation 536/2014 and
clinical monitoring. He has participated in specialist courses on Therapeutic Drug Monitoring and Project
Management in clinical research, consolidating knowledge on risk management, activation of studies and quality in trials. Thanks to the experimental internship carried out at the IRCCS “Saverio de Bellis” he gained specific skills in’ laboratory activities by acquiring metabolomics techniques (HPLC,
ELISA, mass spectrometry) and in clinical management of the patient and data collection, writing a thesis
experimental focused on the effects of a low-FODMAP diet on the intestinal barrier in overweight patients
with IBS-D.
Since 2024 she has collaborated as a biotechnologist with the University of Bari in the DiBraiN department, carrying out a
bridging role between clinical and translational research.
Over the past year, it has been enlisting patients with psychiatric disorders
major, such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, manipulation of related biological samples and execution of molecular biology techniques in order to identify and investigate the biological basis of psychiatric disorders.
Possesses solid digital skills (Office, Canva) and good English skills (B2). It has excellent
interpersonal and team working skills, combined with a precise, responsible and oriented approach
objectives. She is actively engaged in environmental and social volunteering.
Cultivates a strong motivation for clinical research oriented towards improving public health.
