- La Dr.ssa Ferrara, dopo aver conseguito la Laurea in Medicina e Chirurgia presso l’Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia, e la specializzazione in psichiatria presso la medesima Università, ha conseguito il dottorato di ricerca presso la School for Mental Health and Neuroscience, Department of Psychiatry & Neuropsychology of the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences, Maastricht University, Maastricht, the Netherlands con una tesi dal titolo “ Early Intervention in Psychosis. A population health approach to reduce the duration of untreated psychosis” (supervisor Professor Jim Van Os, co-supervisor Sinan Guloksuz). Ha svolto un post-doc di ricerca presso Specialized Treatment Early Psychosis Program presso la Yale University, New Haven (CT), assumendo il ruolo di research coordinator, sotto la supervisione del Professor Vinod Srihari.
Dal 2021 è ricercatrice presso l’Università degli Studi di Ferrara, dove è coinvolta in numerosi progetti di ricerca locale, nazionale e internazionale e dove svolge docenze nel corso di laurea in medicina e chirurgia, nel corso di laurea in tecnico della riabilitazione psichiatrica, e presso la scuola di specializzazione in psichiatria. Ha conseguito l’abilitazione scientifica nazionale in giugno 2024, prenderà servizio come Professore Associato dal 1° Maggio 2026.
I suoi temi di ricerca riguardano l’esordio della patologia psicotica, la salute mentale della donna, la personalizzazione del trattamento psicofarmacologico, e l’organizzazione dei servizi di salute mentale. Oltre ad avere una proficua attività scientifica (ha pubblicato oltre 64 lavori, con un H index di 17 e 879 citazioni), svolge regolare attività clinica nel Programma Specializzato su esordi psicotici e high risk for psychosis del Dipartimento di Salute Mentale e Dipendenze Patologiche di AUSL Ferrara, presso il servizio di consultazione e collegamento (Diretto dal Professor Luigi Grassi), e turni di guardia attiva presso Servizio di diagnosi e Cura dell’u.o.c ospedaliero-universitaria di Cona, Ferrara.

- Dr. Ferrara, after obtaining a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, and specializing in psychiatry from the same University, obtained her PhD from the School for Mental Health and Neuroscience, Department of Psychiatry & Neuropsychology of the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences, Maastricht University, Maastricht, the Netherlands with a thesis entitled “ Early Intervention in Psychosis. A population health approach to reduce the duration of untreated psychology” (supervisor Professor Jim Van Os, co-supervisor Sinan Guloksuz). He did a post-doc research at the Specialized Treatment Early Psychosis Program at Yale University, New Haven (CT), assuming the role of research coordinator, under the supervision of Professor Vinod Srihari.
Since 2021 she has been a researcher at the University of Ferrara, where she is involved in numerous local, national and international research projects and where she teaches in the degree course in medicine and surgery, in the degree course in psychiatric rehabilitation technician, and at the school of specialization in psychiatry. He obtained his national scientific qualification in June 2024, he will serve as Associate Professor from 1° May 2026.
Her research topics concern the onset of psychotic pathology, the mental health of women, the personalization of psychopharmacological treatment, and the organization of mental health services. In addition to having a fruitful scientific activity (he has published over 64 works, with an H index of 17 and 879 citations), he carries out regular clinical activity in the Specialized Program on psychotic beginnings and high risk for psychosis of the Department of Mental Health and Pathological Addictions of AUSL Ferrara, at the consultation and liaison service (Directed by Professor Luigi Grassi), and active guard shifts at the Diagnosis and Treatment Service
