The major interests that have always guided his activity and that of his research group focus on how the brain can coordinate our actions and translate them into movements from the simplest to the most complex, allowing us to orient ourselves in the space around us and understand where objects are located in the world around us and integrates complex sensory information together. His research group "Neurophysiology of the visuomotor system" is made up of 4 lines of research based on both animal and human models, examining with different visions the role of some brain regions of the parieto-forntal circuit in the coordination of movements. It collaborates with various European and international research centers. She is the author of approximately 150 prestigious publications (H index=45 from Scopus), and currently coordinates a national research project (PRIN2022), she is coordinator of a European FET-PROACTIVE project: MAIA-H2020-951910- Multifunctional, adaptive and interactive AI
system for Acting in multiple contexts (https://site.unibo.it/maia-fetproact/en), and is coordinator of Spoke 4 of the Mnesys project (A multiscale integrated approach to the study of the nervous system in health and disease), MUR and PNRR and Research funded by the European Union –
NextGenerationEU-PE0000006. At a national level he is a member of GEV05 for the VQR 2020-2024, and a member of the panel of reviewers of research projects for MIUR from 2002 to today.
