Type A temporary researcher (RTD-A), scientific-disciplinary sector MED/25 Psychiatry

I am a psychiatrist and researcher in the field of psychiatric genomics, pharmacogenomics and precision psychiatry. Mi I graduated in Medicine and Surgery with honors from the University of Bari, where I did research in genomics and neuroimaging on vulnerability to schizophrenia. I completed my residency in Psychiatry at the University of Bologna, gaining clinical experience in affective and psychotic disorders. I did a PhD in Genomics
Psychiatric at the Department of Human Genetics, Donders Institute (Radboud University Medical Center, Countries Low), working on the multimorbidity between psychiatric disorders and metabolic conditions related to insulin resistance. Since 2023, I have been a fixed-term researcher (RTD-A) at the University of Bologna as part of the program national PNRR MNESYS, Spoke 5 Mood and Psychosis, where I deal with the identification of genetic biomarkers and non-genetics, the development of predictive models of treatment outcomes and the collection of new biological samples, in addition to carrying out teaching activities in psychiatry. My scientific production mainly concerned predictors genetic response to treatments, suicidal behaviors and psychiatric-metabolic comorbidity, with over 55 articles published in indexed international journals. I have received several international awards (ECNP Excellence 2020 and 2024 Awards, 2021 ISPG Early Career Investigator Award, 2021 WFSBP Young Investigator Award, CINP Student Encouragement Award 2022). They are part of the Editorial Board of international scientific journals such as Psychiatric Genetics, International Clinical Psychopharmacology, Frontiers in Psychiatry (Mood Disorders Section) and Chair of the ECNP Network on Suicide Research and Prevention.
