Postdoctoral researcher

Psychologist with a Ph.D. in Neuroscience and postdoctoral research experience at the University of Parma. My academic and professional background integrates scientific research and clinical practice, with a strong focus on evidence-based methods and innovation. After obtaining a Master’s degree in Developmental Psychology at the University of Messina, I completed a Postgraduate II Level Master Course in Clinical Neuropsychology at the European University of Rome and a Ph.D. in Neuroscience at the University of Parma, where I investigated the neural mechanisms underlying action imitation, motor learning, and functional recovery in patients with neurological disorders. In the clinical field,
I perform neuropsychological assessments and cognitive rehabilitation with both children affected by neurodevelopmental disorders and adults with acquired cognitive deficits due to neurological conditions or brain injury. This experience has enabled me to develop strong skills in the use of
standardized tools for cognitive assessment, the design of tailored rehabilitation programs, and teamwork within multidisciplinary settings. In parallel, I carry out research activities using neuroimaging techniques (fMRI) and advanced data analysis methods, with the aim of deepening the understanding of the brain processes underlying cognitive functions and applying this knowledge to clinical practice.
