Researcher

Chiara-Camilla Derchi has been a researcher at the Don Carlo Gnocchi IRCCS Foundation in Milan since 2020. His business it focuses on neuroethics, clinical neuroscience and disorders of consciousness, integrating theoretical and experimental approaches coming from philosophy, cognitive sciences and neuroscience. He received his doctorate in Philosophy and Science Humane at the University of Milan under the supervision of Professor Marcello Massimini (2018), and has completed two master's degrees in Clinical Bioethics (UCSC, Rome) and in Cognitive Sciences (University of Trento). During the his training has participated in numerous experimental projects and international workshops, acquiring skills
advanced in neurophysiological techniques (EEG, TMS, tDCS) and data analysis (Matlab, EEGlab, R). She is the author of scientific publications in relevant journals (Scientific Reports, Cerebral Cortex, PLoS One), with contributions on related neural of intentional action and states of consciousness and decision-making in the clinical setting, He presented his work at international congresses and has participated in European multicenter projects, including “PerBrain”, aimed at monitoring personalized states of consciousness in patients with brain injuries. His main interests concern study of consciousness, approached from both a theoretical and experimental point of view, clinical ethics and substrate investigation neural of intentional action.
