Sant'Anna - Scuola Universitaria Superiore PisaJacopo Carpaneto received the M.Sc. degree in electronic engineering from the University of Pisa, Italy, in 2000, and the Ph.D. degree in robotics from the University of Genova, Italy, in 2005. Since 2005, he has been a senior scientist at the Translational Neural Engineering Lab of the BioRobotics Institute, Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna Pisa, Italy. He is currently an assistant professor at the Bioelectronics Area of the BioRobotics Institute, Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna Pisa. He is the author of more than 60 journal and conference papers. His research interests are focused on neuroengineering, neuroprosthetics, and the processing of peripheral and central nervous system signals. In particular, he is currently involved in the development, preclinical, and clinical testing of neuroprosthetic systems to restore sensory motor functions of subjects with different neurological disorders
