PhD student

Fabiola Caprino has a Bachelor degree in Psychological Sciences and Techniques and a Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Pavia, where she is currently pursuing a PhD in Psychology, Neuropsychology, and Data Science. Her research focuses on body representations, with particular focus on interoception, body size perception, and motor imagery. She investigates these processes across various populations, including healthy individuals, musicians, people with anorexia nervosa and obesity, and stroke patients, in whom she specifically studies anosognosia for hemiplegia and tactile perception deficits. Her work also involves the analysis of brain morphological images obtained via computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging. In addition, she contributes to the Department of Brain and Behavioral Sciences at the university of Pavia as a teaching tutor for several neuropsychology courses.
