He obtained a Master's Degree in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Bologna, Alma Mater Studiorum, on 07/17/2017 discussing a thesis entitled “Retrospective evaluation of clinical, neuropsychological and affective-behavioral characteristics in a cohort of patients with Multisystem Atrophy” under the supervision of Prof. P. Cortelli.
After graduating, he began collaborating with the Movement Disorders Center of the Neurological Clinic of Bologna, deepening his clinical and research activity on patients with movement disorders. During his training, he carried out a period of study and research at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London, under the guidance of Prof. Kailash Bhatia.
Subsequently, on 3/11/2022 he obtained the Specialization Diploma in Neurology at the University of Bologna”, discussing a thesis on the’“Effect of levodopa on cardiovascular parameters in patients with levodopa-responsive parkinsonism” (Prof. VAMPIRIZE. Cortelli).
On 03/19/2025 he completed his PhD in Biomedical and Neuromotor Sciences, with a thesis entitled “Deep Brain Stimulation Outocmes in Parkinson's Disease: a clinical and instrumental longitudinal study” (Supervisors: Prof. P. Cortelli, Prof. G. Calandra Buonaura)
Since 21/03/2023, he has served as Medical Director Specialist in Neurology at the UOC. Neurological Clinic Metropolitan Network (NEUROMET), IRCCS Institute of Neurological Sciences of Bologna, where he carries out clinical and research activities at the Center for Movement Disorders. The activity ranges from the identification of diagnostic and prognostic markers in the prodromal and initial phases of Parkinson's disease to advanced therapeutic strategies, with the aim of optimizing the clinical management of patients and personalized treatment, including invasive therapies such as deep brain stimulation.
