Associate Professor

Prof. Giulia Maria Camerino has been an Associate Professor of Pharmacology since 2019 and conducts research and teaching in the field of pharmacology. Main research topics: preclinical pharmacological research for genetic neurological diseases, particularly those affecting children, as well as neuromuscular diseases of both genetic and acquired origin, studied using multidisciplinary in vivo, ex vivo and in vitro approaches. Main objectives: 1) Identification of new pharmacological targets and new biomarkers for neurological and neuromuscular diseases. 2) Identification of new
pharmacological strategies for the treatment of various neurological and neuromuscular diseases. The main results are described in over 60 publications in high-impact journals (1958 citations, H index 29).
