Biologist recruited for the SPOKE 6 project “Neurodegeneration, trauma and stroke – MNESYS”

Dr Tiziana Bucca holds a Bachelor of Biological Sciences from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” with an experimental thesis entitled: “Study using Nuclear Magnetic Resonance of polymeric materials used as a cell culture support”, in December 2003, with a score of 110/110 cum laude. From January 2004 to march 2005 she was a scientific visitor to deepen her knowledge of methods for determination of biochemical markers for the diagnosis of metabolic diseases, using HPLC techniques, at the laboratory of the Special Service for Genetic-Metabolic Diseases of the Umberto I Polyclinic in Rome, directed by prof. Italian Antonozzi. Supervisor Dr. Claudia Carducci. In June 2004 he obtained the qualification to practice the
profession and has been registered with the Order of Biologists. From June 2004 to today it has continuously acquired training credits compulsory for professional development provided under the National Programme for Continuing Education of healthcare workers (CMEs) on multiple aspects of the profession (150 for each three-year period). Dr. Bucca has carried out biologist activities continuously under a freelance regime for the USI Group. (Health Union International) from 2005 to February 2022, working in clinical pathology and molecular biology laboratories, using with full autonomy various instruments for biomolecular analysis, modifying the procedures if necessary specific laboratory needs. He took care of the ordinary maintenance of these instruments and interacted directly with specialists from the various manufacturers. In July 2022 he worked at the Laboratory Analysis of the Villa Domelia Clinic in Rome and from October 2022 to March 2023 for the Tiziano srl Laboratory. Rome. In the
December 2024 she was selected as a Biologist at IRCCS San Raffaele for the MNESYS project.
