Università degli Studi di VeronaDr. Alessandro Boaro is a neurosurgeon and researcher based in Verona, Italy. He
currently holds a position as a fixed-term researcher in the Section of Neurosurgery within the Department of
Neurosciences, Biomedicine and Movement Sciences at the University of Verona. Clinically, he works at the
Neurochirurgia B Unit at the Ospedale Civile Maggiore under the AOUI Verona healthcare system. His research
focuses on systems and computational neuroscience. Dr. Boaro also explores digital medicine and the application of
artificial intelligence in neurosurgery. One of his key ongoing projects involves studying motor area reorganization
following degenerative and traumatic cervical myelopathy using a combination of navigated transcranial magnetic
stimulation (nTMS) and intraoperative neuromonitoring. He has published scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals,
including a recent contribution to Computers in Biology and Medicine. In addition to his research and clinical duties,
Dr. Boaro actively contributes to institutional development, serving on the Research and Internationalization Committee
and the Department of Neurosciences at the University of Verona. Through his multidisciplinary approach, he integrates
advanced neuroscience techniques with clinical practice to improve patient outcomes and expand understanding of
brain function and neuroplasticity.
