Associate Professor

Giuseppe Blasi is an associate professor and Director of the School of Specialization in Psychiatry at the University of Bari Aldo Moro. E’also Medical Director at the Consorziale Policlinico University Hospital of Bari.
He has worked in the United States and Italy in the field of Neuroscience applied to Psychiatry, with a focus on topics relating to neuroimaging, neuroimaging genetics and genetics of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, and currently directs a laboratory focused on these lines of research. E’ author of more than 150 publications, he is the first or last author of articles published in scientific journals such as The American Journal of Psychiatry, JAMA Psychiatry, Biological Psychiatry, Schizophrenia Bulletin, PNAS, The Journal of Neuroscience. Psychological Medicine, and co-author of journal publications including, Nature, Nature Medicine, Nature Genetics. He has obtained funds from national and international agencies for research on schizophrenia.
