r. Virginia Beretta, Clinical Psychologist and PhD candidate in Neuroscience at the University of Parma, Neonatology Unit. After graduating with a master's degree with honors in Psychobiology and Cognitive Neuroscience, he embarked on a research path focused on perinatal brain damage, in particular hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy. Its activity integrates electrophysiology (EEG) and molecular biology techniques with short-term and long-term clinical evaluations, with the aim of understanding the pathophysiological mechanisms and developing innovative prevention and treatment strategies for neonatal health. E’ author and co-author of several publications in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters, she is also interested in the long-term effects of neonatal hospitalizations on families and the role of biomarkers in the study of perinatal pathologies.
