Associate Professor
Università degli Studi di BresciaAssociate Professor of Psychiatry at the Department of Clinical and Experimental Sciences of the University of Brescia and medical psychiatrist director at the ASST Spedali Civili of Brescia. He has great experience in the study of psychotic disorders, in particular Schizophrenia, with specific interest in cognitive deficits, neuroplasticity mechanisms and the effects of evidence-based cognitive and psychosocial remedy interventions, as well as neuroimaging correlates of cognitive functions. Other lines of research include the development and validation of clinical and cognitive assessment tools, the integration of rehabilitation treatments in residential and semi-residential contexts, and the study of innovative strategies for psychosocial recovery. He is actively involved in teaching and university education, with positions in various degree and master's courses, and holds important institutional and associative roles, including the Presidency of the Italian Society of Psychosocial Rehabilitation (SIRP), the responsibility of Psychiatric Residentiality (UOP 22) at the ASST Spedali Civili of Brescia, and the presidency of the Council of the Degree Course in Techniques of
Psychiatric Rehabilitation at the University of Brescia.
