Federico Barban is a fixed-term researcher in Bioengineering (SSD ING-INF/06) funded by the MNESYS project at the Department of Computer Science, Bioengineering, Robotics and Systems Engineering (DIBRIS) of the University of Genoa. He obtained his master's degree in Bioengineering in 2017 and his PhD in Bioengineering and Robotics in 2022 from the same University, carrying out research in the field of neuroengineering at the Italian Institute of Technology and the Kansas University Medical Center (Kansas City, KS, USA). His research interests are in the development of innovative neural interfaces, neuronal signal analysis and processing, high-density recording techniques, and using advanced mathematical and statistical methods within computational neuroscience. He is the author and co-author of scientific publications in international journals and conference proceedings, and is involved in national and international research projects within neuroengineering.
